Fulham
Fulham made the most signings in the Premier League on deadline day. Going out was DImitar Berbatov to Monaco on loan, Rene Meulensteen will be happy to see him go. The Bulgarian has looked lackluster and poor so far this season and the Cottagers no longer have to pay his wages. In came Lewis Holtby from Tottenham on loan, Konstantinos Mitroglou for around £11m, Johnny Heitinga from Everton on loan, Larnell Cole and Ryan Tunnicliffe both from Manchester United. Mitroglou has scored 23 goals in 23 appearances for club & country this season and will give Fulham the goal scorer they so desperately cry out for. Lewis Holtby will be the man to make the chances and Johnny Heitinga will be a replacement, an improvement on Philippe Senderos who went to Valencia on a permanent basis. Also in is Ryan Tunnicliffe who has a good relationship with manager, Rene Meulensteen after they worked at Manchester United together. Larnell Cole also worked with Meulensteen at United and the three will certainly bring a good atmosphere in the dressing room as Fulham look to stay in the Premier League. They are a relegation contender and these signings will certainly put them in better position than clubs like West Ham as they try to stay safe from the Championship.
Crystal Palace
Another team in danger of the horror that is relegation did brilliantly on deadline day. Signing 5 players, 5 quality players should give them a massive boost over the other clubs battling to stay up. Wayne Hennessy arrived from Wolves, Scott Dann arrived from Blackburn and Jason Puncheon was signed permanently from Southampton early on during the day while late on Joe Ledley was brought in from Celtic and a loan deal for Tom Ince was completed with just over 15 minutes left in the window. With 5 signings in on one day, they brought in a solid spine to the squad. 1 keeper, 1 defender, 2 midfielders and a striker gives them a strong squad as they look to climb up the table and into safety.
I asked Crystal Palace fan, Reuben Pinder, what he thought of the signings, here' what he said: "I'm ecstatic to see the news of these signings. Ledley, Ince and Dann will all walk into the starting XI. I'm much more hopeful of staying up now."

The so-so's
Manchester United
They didn't make a spectacular signing or get millions and millions of pounds for a terrible player. What they did do though, is loan young starlets in their youth team to Premier League and Championship clubs and in 3 years they'll be playing in the first team having had some great experience playing with some great clubs. Will Keane went QPR, Wilfried Zaha left to Cardiff, Federico Macheda, Tom Thorpe and Tyler Blackett all went to Birmingham City together and Tom Lawrence joined Yeovil Town on loan. Charni Ekangamene and Sam Byrne have both gone to Carlisle until the close of the season on July 1st.

Manchester City
They'll do well without them but Eliquim Mangala and Fernando are both fantastic players who could have given City the strength in depth that could have given them a stronger chance in Europe this season. Two fantastic players from Porto and with Porto struggling for money recently City really should have known they were going to have to pay over priced. £35 million was thought to be the original price for both together, but through out the day that rose to a rumoured £45 million which Daniel Taylor of the Guardian revealed City were not willing to pay. They may go back in the summer and despite not needing anyone on deadline day, the two would have been great signings and their price for them is likely to increase by the summer.
I asked a Manchester City fan, Josh Lawless, about City's deadline day and he seemed more positive than I was for the Citizens; here's what he had to say: "Well it started off so exciting, with the rumours that City were in a good position to bring in both Mangala and Fernandinho from Porto especially with both seemingly being available in the summer for a cheaper fee but the two clubs couldn't agree a few, and to be fair, I think it's only right that City refused to pay what porto were demanding. So all in all, I think it's smart from City to wait until the summer to bring in those two players"
Newcastle United
While Yohan Cabaye made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain after a £20,000,000 move from Newcastle, his former club attempted to sign Clement Grenier from his new league, from Lille. They also looked at other midfielders across Europe and failed to get any. It isn't a huge crisis for the club but Alan Pardew and the fans will be frustrated they couldn't tie down a deal for Grenier or someone else.
I asked Newcastle fan, Luke Taylor, what he thought of deadline day from a Newcastle perspective, here's what he said:
"Newcastle hardly ever buy in the Transfer Window never mind on Deadline Day. Newcastle fans watch Sky Sports News as a neutral as we aren't going to sign anyone. We get linked with many people but never seem to get the deal done. It's a shame, but it's because Ashley won't fork over money."
