The International Break always provides enough groans to power a house and as we prepare for football of what some might say, is of a higher standard, to return to our sets, what can we expect form the match of Champions.
It's the only encounter where Champions come up against Champions and despite the fact that one of those Champions is given their title after winning the Championship, we can still big it up, can't we?
After a dreadful start to the season, acknowledged by players and staff and fans alike, Manchester United have pushed themselves up the table and now lie 5th, a reasonable position considering the controversy and change the club has experienced.
While United kick-started their campaign with a massive three-points against Arsenal, Cardiff were still rolling in the glory of winning the first Welsh Derby in the Premier League as they lost to Everton. The Blue Birds (Red Dragons) will be enjoying life in England's highest division so far. They lie 14th in the table having collected 12 points from 11 games, putting them 2 points above the relegation zone. They've recorded famous wins against high profile clubs like Manchester City and don't look too shabby.
It's been 38 years since the two teams faced so we can't look at previous form but lets look at the teams.
Cardiff
The only real blow to Cardiff is an ankle injury expecting to keep record signing, Andres Cornelius, out for a little longer which will be disappointing for Cardiff as he's been struggling with it for most of the season.
Manchester United
For Manchester United and David Moyes injury news has come thick and fast. Michael Carrick is said to be out for several weeks he has also said to have re-started light training. Meanwhile, Phil Jones is out with a groin problem. Nemanja Vidic, Rafael Da Silva and Robin van Persie could all return to the side, following concussion, an ankle problem and a groin strain respectively.
Who to look out for
Rafael Da Silva - Returning from injury the Brazilian is sure to give United the extra dimension again. His attacking threat down the wing and partnership with Antonio Valencia will be sure to make Cardiff quake in their boots.
Steven Caulker - Caulker's been a revelation since his transfer to Cardiff. He has a huge task as he faces Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie but he's been a rock at the back and United will have to be at their best to get past him.
Tom Cleverley - With Carrick out, it's up to his fellow Englishmen to give the Champions that creative spark as they go forward.
